DEAR, MY BIRTHDAY

I made a diary itself as a methaphorical object like a birthday and find meaning in life. A birthday is considered special because there is only one day out of 365 days a year. They remember the day they were first born in the world, thank them for being alive well until now, and make a wish for the future by blowing candles. 

However, I have been skeptical about having a birthday party after my friend died in the military four years ago. His birthday stopped at 31, but I have been sad annually whenever the birthday signal continuosly appears on SNS. Two years later, I gave birth and had a lovely boy. Experience of both a friend’s death and the beginning of a life made me think more about the meaning of life. 
In addition, from my personal belief in Myeonglihak, one the the Eastern philosophies that fate and fortune are determined based on the date of birth, the attribute of tree means “a desire for achievement” that I do not have but would like to obtain.
